Playgroup Holiday Party

This past Sunday we all went to Shantala and Jesse's house for a Holiday Party with Alyssa's playgroup. All the dads were excited to hang out with the kids and exchange baby stories. Here's a picture of that(what you don't see is the big screen TV with the sunday night NFL game on). Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and extremely generous with what they gave... including the germs that got half the attendees sick.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went up to LA to enjoy the holiday at Horacio's place. Manuel's mom, grandfather Luis, Aunt Francine and cousin Ryan all came out to join us. It was a great Thanksgiving once all the food issues were resolved... =D. Alyssa enjoyed her first Thanksgiving meal, as you can see, as well as spending time with her great-grandfather. We also took her to the Grove to visit Santa for the first time(we'll post those pictures soon). She also took over the house and Tio Horacio's favorite chair... now you know who is in charge of this family.

Alyssa's First Swim

On November 18 Horacio(Manuel's Brother) and his girlfriend Barbara came to visit us and were staying at a nearby hotel. We dicided make use of their pool and take Alyssa for her first swim. The first pool we jumped into was a little cold and Alyssa wasn't too happy. Luckily they had another pool around the corner that was much warmer. Once she was in she really enjoyed it. She had a lot of time to play with her mom, as well as her dad and her uncle when they weren't trying to drown each other. It won't be long until Manuel has her swimming laps around the pool!
